TURTLE BAY APARTMENT

Many years of piecemeal alterations left this apartment feeling fragmented, with too many incongruous materials and out-of-date fixtures.  The new design updates and modernizes the space, tactically shifting alignments and passageways to improve flow and openness. The neutral palette and clean detailing allow the architecture to serve as a backdrop to our clients' bolder furniture and artwork, while the classic and sophisticated materials speak to their former leanings towards a more traditional design aesthetic. The apartment is anchored by the central kitchen, which is separated from the office, living, and dining rooms by a series of full height over-sized sliding doors. Storage is maximized in a thickened perimeter of custom millwork and expanded concealed closets.
